Why this form.

Standardised, and it says so.

01

Silymarin is the point of milk thistle, so the label states it: 80 percent, 200 mg. A label that says only milk thistle 250 mg has told you the seed, not the dose.

02

Turmeric at 95 percent curcuminoids, with 5 mg of piperine from black pepper on its own line beside it. Two lines, two amounts, not a blend with one number.

03

Choline as bitartrate, the plain salt, stated as choline. Vitamin E as d-alpha, the natural form, at the Indian RDA and not past it.

How to take it.

2 capsules, with breakfast.

  1. 01

Two capsules with breakfast, with water. Turmeric extract sits better on food than on an empty stomach.

  2. 02

21 mm, size 0. A capsule, not a tablet. If two at once feels like a lot, one with breakfast and one with dinner is fine.

  3. 03

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or take any daily prescribed medicine, ask your doctor before you start. That line is on the box for a reason.

What to expect. LiverGuard.

Subtle. Slow.
On purpose.

A real dose does not announce itself. You are not going to feel it on day one. You are not meant to. Here is what four weeks and twelve weeks tend to look like, and the one day you will notice most.

  1. Week 1

Nothing to report. Two capsules with breakfast, the box by the kettle. That is the whole job this week.

  2. Week 4

Still not much to feel, and that is expected. This one works in the background. Give it the full four weeks before you decide anything.

  3. Week 12

Nothing you can point at, and that is what a steady dose does. It supports normal liver function, day after day.* Read the label again. It has not changed.

Every lot will be tested by an independent NABL-accredited lab before it ships, and the report goes up here by lot number, dated, on the lab's own paper.

Five questions.

Ask the label.

Short answers. If yours is missing, the email is in the footer.

  1. 01Why is there black pepper in a liver formula?

For the turmeric. A small amount of piperine, 5 mg, helps the body take up the curcuminoids. It is listed on its own line with its own amount, not folded into the turmeric.

  2. 02What is bhumi amla?

Phyllanthus niruri, a small herb that comes up across India after the monsoon and has a long history of everyday use. Most brands sell it in a blend with no amount. Ours says 250 mg of a 10 to 1 extract.

  3. 03I eat out a lot and drink at weekends. Does this cover it?

No, and be wary of any label that says it does. It supports normal liver function alongside an ordinary diet.* It is not a licence for anything.

  4. 04Can I take it with my morning chai?

Yes. Take the capsules with breakfast and have the chai as usual. Nothing in this box minds tea.

  5. 05How is it different from the milk thistle at the chemist?

Read both labels. If theirs says milk thistle 250 mg with no percent, you do not know the silymarin. Ours says 80 percent, 200 mg, plus bhumi amla, turmeric, piperine, choline and vitamin E, each with a number. If theirs matches, buy the cheaper one.
